You’re welcome! This was a patch of oak woodland (Sessile Oaks?) the footpath led through and their individual, twisted shapes give the appearance of great antiquity or something out of an epic fantasy. This was a lovely walk to take up to the 600-metre peak, with a constantly changing landscape.
Hah! It is a little spooky. The hollow way indicates this has been used for centuries by walkers (and, this being Wales, sheep). No ghosts that I’m aware of, though!
